It is commonly used for wrapping and protecting steel pipes in outdoor environments such as basements, ship holds, and mines, where conditions are damp, mildly acidic, or mildly alkaline, providing a certain level of rust prevention. It can also be used for pattern making in garment production and fixing sewing machine positions.
